Do you love Pentatonix? Crazy for the King’s Singers? Mad for Manhattan Transfer?

The Swedish a cappella superstars The Real Group will bring their unique blend of all of those groups – and more! – to Rockford on March 23.

What’s a platinum-selling a cappella group that sells out performances across Europe and Asia doing in Rockford? Thank the Rockford Education Foundation. Their first Founders’ Grant, awarded in 2015, underwrote the RHS Music Department to bring in top-level artists for masterclasses and performances. In May 2016, they presented Trumpet Invasion with Rich and Brandon Ridenour; this is their first concert of 2017.

Since their founding in 1984, The Real Group has been a worldwide leader in the world of vocal music. Their combination of perfection and personal touch along with original songs has made them accessible to music enthusiasts in general as well as to the more demanding ear. Their wide repertoire and musical excellence have made it possible for the group to collaborate with symphony orchestras, jazz groups, pop bands and notable artists such as Barbara Hendricks, Toots Thielemans and Sir George Martin.

The Real Group has produced over 20 albums and presented thousands of concerts all over the world. RHS choir teacher Mandy Scott says, “Their performances are flawless. I would list them as one of the best singing groups in the world, regardless of genre. We are so lucky to have them right here in Rockford!”

Don’t miss your best chance to hear world-class a cappella music at Rockford High School!

The Real Group presents an evening of a cappella music on March 23 at 7pm. Tickets are $20, available via ($20 reserved seating)
