President's Welcome
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Rockford Public Schools website. On behalf of our seven-member board, we are confident this site will be of help to you. The life of your student in our district is captured from Food Service to the Arts, from Athletics to our Transportation Department, and from the many calendars of events to the personal needs of your child(ren) through Family Access.
Our goals include continuous improvement in all areas of our district, despite financial constraints, and the conviction to develop lifelong learners of our students. Through the marriage of our highly-qualified teaching and support staff and facilities and technology services, we trust these goals are part of the everyday focus for our students, DK through 12th grade. Our alumni tell us they are prepared. That is affirming.
We take pride in awards we have earned such as all of our schools being named state-awarded Blue Ribbon Exemplary Schools. Recently we were also awarded a national award from AdvancED. These points of pride motivate us for even more success for our students. Many of our initiatives on behalf of our students are being requested by other districts to emulate. This is a genuine compliment to our administrative and teaching staff’s efforts.
