Assistant Superintendent's WelcomeThis is my 19th year as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and my 27th year as an administrator with Rockford Public Schools. I served as Principal of Rockford Middle School (now North Rockford Middle School) and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director of Rockford Junior High (now Rockford High School Freshman Center) prior to my current position as Assistant Superintendent. I taught and coached in the Grand Rapids Public School system for nine years prior to "migrating north" to Rockford. I received my bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University and my master's degree from Central Michigan University.
My wife, Gloria, and I have four children and five grandchildren. I am proud to say that our twins, Dan (wife Tracy, and daughters Gracie and Olivia) and Tom (wife Lauren, daughter Maddie and son Cru), and our daughters, Katie (husband Austin, and son Kane) and Kellie (husband Tony, and son Lincoln), are all graduates of Rockford Public Schools.
I believe Rockford Public Schools is one of the best educational institutions in the State of Michigan. I value the working relationship we have with our employees and community members and I enjoy observing and sharing in the many successes of our students and employees.
