Freshman Center Honors Classes
Honors classes are offered in 9th grade English and science at the Freshman Center. Students previously enrolled in advanced math coursework continue on based upon 8th grade teacher recommendation.

Students are tested in the spring of their 8th grade year for placement into Honors English and/or science. Students qualify for testing through an application process which includes current grades, teacher recommendations, advanced placement testing, and MEAP scores.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 4:00 pm for testing in April. No exceptions due to late applications will be made for April testing.
For new students to the district: Students must be enrolled in the Rockford Public Schools for the 2013-2014 school year in order to be tested.

Testing will take place at the Rockford Freshman Center on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 3:00 pm, and Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 8:00 am.
