This unique mural was created in 2005 thanks to the Valley View PTO and REF funding. It has 998 individual tiles and is 8’ by 16’. Our current fifth graders were first graders when the mural was created. The mural was designed by Mrs. Cyndi Len, art teacher. Each class was assigned a specific culture. 5th grade students were assigned America, “The Melting Pot,” so as to include all the cultures America shares. Students worked either alone or in groups to create the images which were originally drawn by Mrs. Len. The mural is permanently installed as a reminder for all of our motto- Valley View-Where our View of the World Begins! |
