Welcome to East Rockford Middle School, home of 839 students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. ERMS is proud to be recognized as both a Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School and a fully accredited school by AdvancED. Additionally, we have once again been identified by the Michigan Department of Education as a school that has made Adequate Yearly Progress.
Educating the whole child is a core philosophy at ERMS and we offer a strong balance between academics, co-curricular activities and after-school programs. Additionally, we implement various student intervention programs to target unique student needs that include special services, gifted and talented, speech and language, occupational and physical therapists and a student assistance team.
The East Rockford Middle School staff is comprised of 52 certified teachers, two counselors, a media specialist, office assistants, special services, food service personnel, a health aid, a security officer and custodians. We are committed to providing an educational experience focused on the needs of preparing middle school students. We also pride ourselves on our partnerships with our highly involved parents and our combined vision of achievement for all students. Working together, East Rockford Middle School provides a positive educational experience and effectively prepares students for their next steps in life.

Orientation Programs August 19-21Please click this link to view the ERMS Information Packet. Please print, complete, and bring the following forms from the packet: Yearbook Form (with $22 check to ERMS) and Parent Volunteer Opportunity Form.
All students will be photographed for a Student ID card at orientation. If you would like to order pictures, please send them with a check and the order form (link here). You may also place your picture order online at shop.hrimaging.com.
At orientation, 7th and 8th grade students will also have the opportunity to get their schedule, locker combination, and textbooks. Students may purchase a student planner for $4 and/or an ERMS t-shirt for $10 as well.
T-shirts are available to 6th grade students as well. All 6th grade students are provided with a student planner.

Clip and Turn In Box Tops for ERMS. 7th and 8th grade students/parents are encouraged to turn box tops into the main office. 6th graders should turn them in to their magnet to help boost their magnet in the Box Top Championship!
