Kindergarten and Developmental Kindergarten Enrollment

All information on this page applies to
Kindergarten and Developmental Kindergarten students

Rockford Public Schools is pleased to welcome you to the Kindergarten/Developmental Kindergarten enrollment process. If you are enrolling a new K/DK student, please be aware that students must be five years old by September 1st (students may attend DK with an Age Waiver if they turn five between September 1st and December 1st). We understand that this is a monumental time in a child’s life and we eagerly welcome our future K/DK students.

Begin the enrollment process in a few easy steps!

Step 1:  Complete the Enrollment Form

Step 2:  Attend the Parent Information Night at your school. This event will provide a time for parents of incoming K/DK students to meet the staff, learn about the curriculum, and have questions answered or concerns addressed.

*Families who plan to apply through SCHOOLS OF CHOICE may attend any of the Parent Information Nights and begin the enrollment process, however, this does not imply or guarantee placement.
