HOW TO APPLY FOR A GRANT

Who may apply? Anyone who meets our mission of increasing educational opportunities for learners of all ages in the Rockford community.
What criteria do I have to meet? Generally we like our grants to reach the largest number of learners possible for as long as possible.  We do not fund consumable items such as food, t-shirts, etc.  We like to help with start-up programs but we cannot fund the same program year after year.
How much money can I get? We offer three types of grants:
  • Mini-grants - up to $400
  • Large grants - between $401 and $3,000
  • Student grants - up to $300
When is the deadline for applying? Mini and large grants are offered twice a year.
  • September 19, 2007
  • January 16, 2008

Student grants must be initiated by a student.  These grants are accepted anytime during the school year until April 30th.
