Library hours: 7:00 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday
7:00 am to 2:30 on Friday.
Our hours vary on half days.

What Does the Freshman Center Library Offer the Students?

    The library offers students a collection  of books and technology to meet their academic and recreational reading needs. Students have access to current fiction, non-fiction, biography, audio books and magazines.  

Our library also offers the opportunity to access the Internet and use subscription based databases.  These databases offer full text articles from hundreds of magazines all of which are updated daily.  Several online services are available at school and at home through our library home page.  Please feel free to visit our library anytime during our open hours.  Questions or comments are welcome

 

 

Library Policies:

The library is open from 7:00 am until 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am through 2:30 on Friday. Our hours vary on half days.  Students may use the library during their lunch hours, but need a pass from the library staff to leave the lunch room.

Students may check out up to three books or magazines at a time. Books may be checked out for three weeks and are renewable, magazines are checked out for one week. Most reference materials may be checked out overnight at the end of the school day and must be returned first thing the next morning. The library also has a collection of audiobooks and players that student can check out.

Fines for overdue books are $.05 a day.

Overdue notices and fine notices are sent to students bi-weekly.

Computers are available for use in the library and include some with cd/dvd burners, video editing, and a scanner.

Camcorders are available for checkout for school projects and students can also sign up to use the video room and equipment.

Copies may be made for $.15 a page.
