Hello Edgerton Trails Families:
Spring is in the air, and with it comes a busy and exciting time at school! As the weather warms up, students are enjoying more opportunities for outdoor learning and fresh energy in the classroom. This time of year, also brings important state and district testing. We encourage families to help students do their best by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day.
As we move into the final weeks of the school year, there are many special activities, celebrations, and learning milestones ahead. It’s a great time to reflect on all the growth our students have made and to finish the year strong. Thank you for your continued support in making this a successful and positive school year for everyone!

kindergarten enrollment
Rockford Public Schools Kindergarten Enrollment is now OPEN!
- Children who turn five years old on or before December 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Take advantage of an early placement screening by enrolling your Developmental Kindergarten or Kindergarten-age child prior to June 1, 2026.
- Please visit www.rockfordschools.org/enrollment/kindergarten-enrollment/ to review the online enrollment procedures and required documentation.
- If on June 6, 2026, your child is a current DK, Early Childhood Special Education, SIP or SSG student, an additional enrollment is not required.
