Hello Edgerton Trails Families:
It will be a busy March at Edgerton Trails. On March 18, we will have our DK/K Information Night. Any families with a student entering DK/K next year should plan on attending this meeting. New student registration can be accessed on the district website or at the button below. Book BINGO and the Art Show on March 19 will provide a great opportunity for us to celebrate our students as artists. Our PTO and staff are both working to provide a memorable evening for our students and staff.
Our PTO has done an amazing job this year. This small group of dedicated parents have worked hard to provide opportunities for our students. Thinking ahead to the 25-26 school year, we will need more volunteers in order to provide new opportunities for our students. All the best ideas need volunteers to grow and support them. Your involvement can be whatever works for your schedule. Please consider how your talents could best serve our PTO and students. On Wednesday, March 12 we will have a PTO Open House from 6:00-6:30 and our PTO meeting will follow at 6:30. The Open House will allow parents to learn more about our PTO and consider what positions/ committees might be a good fit.

Spring Tesing Schedule
When possible, please schedule appointments outside of your students testing dates. Your child's classroom teacher can provide you with more details around testing times. Typically, students test in the morning. Thank you for your help with this.

School Enrollment opens February 13
Enroll new students to RPS at the district website under the Enrollment tab. All new to RPS students will need to register for the 25-26 school year. This includes incoming Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. For questions about the process, reach out to Mrs. Smith in our Edgerton Trails front office.
Early enrollment helps the district plan for class sizes and placement of staff. Please share this enrollment information with friends, families and neighbors.

Edgerton Trails PTO
Our PTO is looking for members to for the 2025-26 school year. Our PTO worked hard this year and many were part of the Valley View PTO and are looking to assist at Edgerton Trails in other ways next year. On Wednesday, March 12 at 6:00 we will have a PTO Open House. This is an opportunity to learn more about the positions and committes that need volunteers for next year. ALL ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED to attend! We hope to see you there.
DK/K Parent Information Night
March 18 6:00-7:00 PM at Edgerton Trails
This information night is for parents/guardians only and will serve as an opportunity for parents/guardians to meet the teachers and see the school. This event includes opportunities to learn more about the screening process and our Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten programming. If you will have a DK/K student at Edgerton Trails next year please plan on attending. Please share this information with neighbors or friends.
Art Show/Book BINGO
On March 19 from 6:30-8:00 we will have a great family event at Edgerton Trails. Our first Art Show Book BINGO event will take place. This will be an opportunity to celebrate all our artists and to play Book BINGO. This is a free event for families sponsored by the Edgerton Trails Staff and PTO. Volunteers are needed to help with set up and clean up. Please call or email Melissa Schad in the front office if interested. Mschad@rockfordschools.org or 616.326.1030. 6th Grade orientation
Attn: Edgerton 5th graders! Middle School Open House is Thursday March 20, 2025, 6:00-7:30pm at North or East Middle School. This an optional Open House for students and parents who would like to see East or North Rockford Middle School. During the open house, we will have students providing tours. There will also be a summer orientation for students in August.

Order your Edgerton Trails Yearbook! Cost is $15.00 and yearbooks can be ordered at the link below. Deadline to order is March 28. The office does not order extra yearbooks as all orders are taken online by individual families.
