a note from mrs. O.

This year has been busy, amazing and full of change for all who spent the year here. Our students grew in amazing ways due to great teachers, staff and paras that saw the best in them, parents and families that supported them and a principal that just felt lucky to get to work here each day.

Thank you to all of you for your support, laughs and patience this year.  It was a year of learning and creating memories.  The first day of school was exciting and of course the second day of school we had a torrential downpour. We had a power outage or two, a fire alarm that rang for 20+ minutes, and other new building events that kept us on our toes. Highlights of the year included a Spring Concert with our students performing at the high school, outdoor experiences in the Nature Center, Book BINGO, making maple syrup, the Art Show, an amazing PTO, and a dedicated staff.

The kids made this building more than a school. The students make the building a community of learners.  They created friendships and classroom families. They are the reason those who work in schools come to work each day. They made us smile and reminded us each day that the future is bright.

I wish for all of our students, families and staff and restful and memory making summer. We will see you in August!

Fun Things at Edgerton This week!

  • Lemonade Wars were great!  Our 4th grade classes made and sold a variety of different lemonades. They marketed, made and ran their stands on Monday and all our students had an opportunity  to support the lemonade stands.
  • On Monday, students participated in Move Up Day.  Each grade visited the teachers for next year. They checked out the classrooms and the neighborhoods and got to meet the teachers.
  • School Store for 2nd-5th was two days this week. The kids spent the last of their tickets. For this school store there were some sweets and the kids were all excited about this.
  • Wednesday will be our Talent Show. We have 25 acts including a staff act.  Check out the Edgerton Trails FB page for a video.
