A note from Mrs. O.
Hello Edgerton Trails Families!
Week two was a great success. Our students are getting familiar with all of the routines and connecting with friends and staff. This year our school focus areas will be Kindness, Manners and Community and how these three are connected to the district RAMS (responsible, accountable, motivated and safe) model. Students will have classroom meetings and meetings with me regarding these three. Our goal is to hold students to a high standard to be their very best and be the best student and Edgerton Trails community member as they can be!
We will continue to use RAM PRIDE tickets that students earn and can spend at our school store. We use the tickets to recognize students who are working hard and making good choices. These tickets allow us to quickly notice and celebrate good student behavior. When we have our school store, we can always use parent volunteers to help us run it (see below). This is a minimal time commitment during lunch time.
I have enjoyed being in classrooms these past two weeks, reconnecting with students and reading.
During the school year, if you should ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. (souellette@rockfordschools.org).
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Ouellette
activity passes:
Many RPS Elementary Schools utilize Activity Passes for their main source of income for the PTO and school year. After much discussion we thought that doing a little bit of both would be helpful and hopefully manageable for our families. This year we are doing a "Field trip & Fun Pass." This pass, paid for by student families, will help both our teachers and the PTO immensely.
- Field Trip & Fun Pass covers your students field trips in full for the whole year.
- It covers 60% of busing costs to and from field trips (the PTO will cover the remaining 40%. Last year $10,000 was spent out of the PTO budget on transportation alone. Having families help allows us to do more fun stuff for our students and families throughout the school year).
- Popcorn for your student ALL YEAR LONG!
- NEW Millage club fun for all students' 2nd-5th grade.
- Millage club fees are not added to DK, K and 1st grade pass fees.
- A full breakdown of all pricing is available for anyone to see at the first PTO meeting in Sept.
- Send payment to school by cash or check (Edgerton Trails PTO).
- There is still time to promote your business and sponsor our school. If you or a family member is interested in becoming a business sponsor and having a banner on our fence, please let us know.

Once finalized, you will receive an email verification of enrollment. If you do not receive an email, please go back into FAMILY ACCESS to review any missing steps/information.
Note: We highly encourage all families to set up a FA account as it is the district’s main source of communication to parents.
