From the Desk of Mr. Zokoe

Good afternoon, Lakes Families,

Congratulations, we have completed the 2024-25 school year. Thank you, everyone, for your continued partnership with us at Lakes Elementary. The accomplishments of our students could not have happened without your support. Our students have done a fantastic job working very hard to find their success this year. Our NWEA family report and student progress report were sent home on Friday with our students. Please celebrate with your student their growth from the year.

Guide for NWEA Family Report Reading

Over the summer, we are offering some fun ways to stay connected to Lakes. The Rockford Book Bus will visit Lakes Elementary on June 16 at 11:00 am, July 7 at 11:00 am, July 30 at 5:30- 6:30 pm with a food truck, and  August 4 at 11:00 am. All am dates are on Mondays with the exception of our Wednesday night visit!

As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, please check our district website for upcoming open house dates and supply list information for next year. We will do our best to keep things updated as they become available.

Next week our office will be open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday. The office will be open Friday from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. If you need to contact our office for anything next week, please call us at 616-863-6340. Please give us a call before heading up to school, as we may be working within the building and away from the office area.

Have a safe and wonderful summer.  I look forward to seeing our students return in the fall, ready to learn!
