Hello Edgerton Families!
Year 2 of Edgerton Trials is in the books. As I write this, our Kindergarten, first and second grade are enjoying their Field Day and there is an abundance of enthusiasm and fun outside. Seeing the students, staff and parents all enjoying a beautiful June morning, I am reminded that it takes a village. The Edgerton Trails village is big hearted and full of great people making a difference every single day. From our staff to our parent volunteers, I am grateful for this village and all that we do to pour into the students.
Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you all in August!
Edgerton Trails Can Drive-All summer
Look in your student's backpack for an information but here is out it works:
1. Bag up your cans in plastic garbage bags.
2. Bring cans to the school- there will be bins to the left of the dumpsters. The dumpsters are located inside the wooden fence area by the bus loop.
We appreciate the support of this ongoing fundraiser for our PTO.

August 11: Front office opens
August 17: Class lists posted on Power School
August 19: OPEN HOUSE
DK Open House 5:00-6:00 at Egerton Trails
K-5th grade 6:00-7:00 at Edgerton Trails (Outdoor Classroom as well)
August 24: First Day of School
September 4 and 7: No School-Labor Day
Rockford Book Bus Schedule
- June 6: Start of Summer-Look for the bus in downtown Rockford
- June 13: Rockford Farmer's Market
- June 15: 11:00 AM at Edgerton Trails (front parking lot)
- July 13: 11:00 AM at Edgerton Trails
- August 2: 11:00 AM at Edgerton Trails

As we end the year-imporant items
- Report cards will be posted on the last day of school on Family Access.
- Any Medications in the school office should be picked up the last week of school. If you need to pick up meds next week the office will be open from 8:00-4:00.
- Please look for any library books or classroom books that should be returned to school.
registration is open for all new DK/Kindergarten students
If you have an incoming DK/K student please register them ASAP. This allows us to manage our class sizes and get our class rosters as accurate as possible before summer. Enrollment information can be found below. Contact Melissa Schad (mschad@rockfordschools.org) for assistance. Thank you! :)

- Children who turn five years old on or before December 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Take advantage of an early placement screening by enrolling your Developmental Kindergarten or Kindergarten-age child prior to June 1, 2026.
- Please visit www.rockfordschools.org/enrollment/kindergarten-enrollment/ to review the online enrollment procedures and required documentation.
- If on June 6, 2026, your child is a current DK, Early Childhood Special Education, SIP or SSG student, an additional enrollment is not required.
