Transportation Information

We are pleased to introduce you to My Ride K-12, a mobile app where you can access your student’s secure data at the touch of a button. Access to real-time data helps your student to be at the right place at the right time.

My Ride K-12 capabilities include the following:

  • Stop location, assigned route, and scheduled pick up time
  • GPS geolocation push notifications, giving estimated time of bus arrival and information concerning bus status changes
  • Real time communication and messaging
  • Secure and confidential log in
  • Android/iOS app and Web Version available

The app is available for up to four users per student. If you would like to opt out of this platform, please contact transportation to have My Ride K-12 disabled for your student.

To access My Ride K-12 for your student, you will need to complete the set up by following the directions included in the Parent User Guide. Users will need their student’s ID number and Last name to link to their student. Please follow the Parent User Guide for instructions on how to access and use the app and Web Version. Please allow your phone to send notifications from this app and remain logged in to receive district notifications.

Get the My Ride app here

We trust this will be a helpful tool for you! Should you have any questions or concerns or would like to limit or remove access for your student on My Ride K-12, please contact the transportation department at 616-863-6328.

General Info for Kindergarten.

We will post a supply list on our webpage at the end of each school year.  Here are 3 items we ask for:

Large Zippered Backpack  - Please select a sturdy backpack big enough for a large library book to fit in. LABEL it with your child’s name.

Lunch Box - If your child plans to eat cold lunch, please send his or her lunch in a labeled lunch box. If a thermos is included, please label it also.

Extra Set of Clothes   -Please send socks, undies, pants, and a shirt in a labeled Ziploc-type bag. These clothes are to be kept in your child’s backpack and used in case of an emergency (mud, bathroom accidents, etc.).

The School Office asks for your help with the following:

Absent or Tardy - Always call the office at 863-6374 before 9:00 a.m. when your child will be absent or late. You can leave a general voice message 24/7. Teachers appreciate an email as well – you may include the office on that email instead of calling and leaving a message. Please let us know if your child will need a hot lunch – those are ordered right away in the AM.

Home / Work Changes - If you change your work phone number, move to another address, change daycare providers or emergency contacts, get a new cell phone number or email, please keep us updated. Illnesses or emergencies come up and we need to be able to contact parents and other responsible parties for our students immediately.

General Daily Schedule

  • 8:25 a.m. Bell Rings - students enter the building
  • 8:35 a.m. Tardy Bell – School begins
  • Lunch (40 minutes) – times vary
  • Afternoon Recess (15 minutes) each day
  • 3:35 p.m. Dismissal
