AHERA Notification Advisory
Rockford Public Schools is required under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act(AHERA) of 1987 to notify parents and employees of the availability of a management plan and inform them of the activities conducted in February of 2016. This inspection indicted all asbestos in the district buildings is safe, non-friable condition. All of the asbestos is properly protected and there is no exposure present. Rockford Public Schools follows the regulations set forth in EPA 40 CFR Part 763-Asbestos-Containing Materials in Buildings and complies with the inspection process set forth in EPA 40 CFR Part 763, Parts 1, 2, 3 and OSHA 29 CFR Parts 1910 and 1926.
