Welcome & Helpful Information

Family questionnaire

We value all families having opportunities to be involved in the education and activities within our school community!  We also understand that life has different seasons and availability varies for everyone. Please share your interests and availability so we can better partner with you to support our students and school.   Our PTC & Teachers will use this information to focus & support involvement.
Additionally, many families have asked for ways to connect with other families in our school, and our PTC would like to offer a PTC Student Directory that families can opt into.  ONLY those families that want to participate and provide information will be included and receive a directory.

Medication Drop-off

If your student(s) will need medication at school, our open house on August 19th is a great time to drop them off to our office staff.

The nursing forms can be found on the RPS website and are linked below. Please remember these documents MUST be current to the 26/27 school year and signed by both a parent and physician.

Medication should be dropped off in its original container.

Student class placement

Student class placements will be shared with families on

Monday, August 17.

We know students are anxiously awaiting their classroom assignments, and we are excited too! Our Cannonsburg team works hard to ensure students are placed in a setting where they can learn best. We also embrace a collaborative culture in which student data is shared and addressed as a team. Because of this, students may be placed in one classroom, but receive interventions or extensions from another member of our team. This ensures students are learning at high levels in all content areas every day. Thank you for trusting us with this process and partnering with us in the upcoming year. We can't wait for the first day of school on August 24!

BAC - 2026/27 School Year

Before and After School Care (BAC) Program

The BAC program is offered at all elementary schools in the RPS district, available Monday - Friday, 7:00 am until the start of school, and at the end of the school day until 6:00 pm. Our BAC programs provide parents with the security of knowing their children are in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment before and after school hours. DK students have the option of attending BAC at Cannonsburg or Crestwood where they attend DK. Transportation is provided between each elementary school and the DK locations.

BAC is offered every day that school is in session and during Winter and Spring Break. Table games, crafts, gym time, outdoor play, and literacy time are planned each day. For more information regarding BAC registration, visit:
