A note from Mrs. O.
Edgerton Families,
Hello and I hope you are all enjoying the Michigan Fall weather. This week we launched our PTO fundraiser "Enrich the Trails". Any support you can give this endeavor is appreciated as we work to support student learning, classrooms and staff.
This year we our working on our RAMS model. Rams are RESPECTFUL, ACCOUNTABLE, MOTIVATED AND SAFE. Through our Trials curriculum, classroom meetings and our RAM pride tickets our goal is common language and high behavior expectations partnered with noticing and rewarding good choices and behavior. 2nd-5th grade was able to participate in the school store this week while our DK, K and 1st grade has weekly drawings of their Ram Pride tickets. Our goal is to recognize all the good choices students at Edgerton Trails are making.
Coming home with your student on Friday or Monday will be their NWEA score sheets. If you are a Kindergarten Family this data will not show all scores as this is the baseline score for your student. NWEA testing occurs 3 times each school year. All K-5 grade students will take the NWEA again in January.
We have had some parents generously support the Field Trip Pass of other students. Thank you so much for this. What a great community of caring we are creating. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

We need your help!
Our students need volunteers during lunch and recess. Your involvement makes a significant difference, as research shows children thrive when parents and adults are more engaged.
If you are able to lend a hand, we invite you to sign up for any available time slot(s). Every bit of help counts, and goes a long way toward creating a positive experience for our students.
We appreciate your time, effort, and willingness in helping enrich the experience for our children at Edgerton Trails. Should you have any questions about the volunteer process, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank you!
NOTE: ALL volunteers will have to pass the Rockford Public Schools background check for the 2026-2027 school year and are required to complete the Volunteer Consent Form.

Mrs. Sedlock (Art Teacher) is looking for a parent or two that could come in 1-2 a month to take pics of artwork for the Artstonia website. If you are interested in helping out please email Mrs. Sedlock at esedlock@rockfordschools.org. You do not need to commit to the whole year only a time or two if that works best for you.
Thank you!
