  • For students with daily or emergency medications, review our nursing policies (Nursing Services – Rockford Public Schools (rockfordschools.org), fill out appropriate paperwork and drop medications off to the office before or on the first day of school. Please note: all medication forms must be signed by both a physician and a guardian.

PowerSchool: Everything You Need To Know - Our District - Rockford Public Schools

Parents, this year as students dismiss at the end of the day, they will be standing by their grade level. Please see this map for their grade level area. Notes to consider: No students or parents should be standing in the drive between the school and the parking lot. Parents need to be outside waiting for their child and then need to walk them to their car. It gets busy and your childs' safety is out first priority. Thank you for your cooperation.

Roguewood Elementary We kindly request that there are no early pick ups after 2:45pm. Please be sure to let us know by 2:00 pm if there is going to be a change at dismissal. Email your child's teacher and either Justin Eckert or Jenny Bradley in the front office. Or you can call 616-863.6375

If your student(s) will need medication at school, our open house on August 19th is a great time to drop them off to our office staff.

The nursing forms can be found on the RPS website and are linked below. Please remember these documents MUST be current to the 26/27 school year and signed by both a parent and physician.

Medication should be dropped off in its original container.

Student class placement

Student class placements will be shared with families on

Monday, August 17.

We know students are anxiously awaiting their classroom assignments, and we are excited too! Our Roguewood team works hard to ensure students are placed in a setting where they can learn best. We also embrace a collaborative culture in which student data is shared and addressed as a team. Because of this, students may be placed in one classroom, but receive interventions or extensions from another member of our team. This ensures students are learning at high levels in all content areas every day. Thank you for trusting us with this process and partnering with us in the upcoming year. We can't wait for the first day of school on August 24!

A free weekend food opportunity for kids! We would like to offer your student the opportunity to participate in a program called "Hand2Hand". This program helps provide a student with food for the weekends and is intended for families who currently may be experiencing a financial burden. Here's how it works: At the end of each week, students who are signed up for Hand2Hand will receive a minimum of 10 food items in a bag. These food items will be a combination of breakfast, snacks, and lunch or dinner items. There is no cost to participate! If you sign your student up to receive Hand2Hand, they will continue to receive the weekend bag of food each week throughout the school year. Bags will be discreetly delivered to your child at school. If you feel like your child would benefit from this opportunity, please complete this form. hand2hand sign up (You will need to complete one form for each of your children.) If there comes a point when you no longer need the assistance, alert your school office. It will take at least two weeks to receive your first bag.
