Every Student, Every Space, Every Day

Dear Belmont Families,

Thank you for your patience as we lauch our new Student Information System (SIS), PowerSchool. By now, all families should have received access information for their students.  This includes DK/K families, along with new, and returning students. If you have not yet received an access login or password from the district, please email me directly or call the Belmont office. We want to successfully share with you your student's class placement on Monday, August 17, but need to have your student's information verified beforehand.

In addition to verifying your student's information, we have a tight deadline for families to register for district transportation. Registration is due by Friday, August 14. If you are having any trouble doing this through PowerSchool, please contact our Director of Transportation at mpuett@rockfordschools.org.

Speaking of transportation, if you are planning to pick-up your child at the end of the school day, please complete the form linked below. We know the first week of school requires a bit of additional patience during arrival and dismissal times, and this information will help us prepare as best we can.

With excitement,

Rachel DeKuiper, Principal

Student class placement

Student class placements will be shared with families on

Monday, August 17.

We know students are anxiously awaiting their classroom assignments, and we are excited too! Our Belmont team works hard to ensure students are placed in a setting where they can learn best. We also embrace a collaborative culture in which student data is shared and addressed as a team. Because of this, students may be placed in one classroom, but receive interventions or extensions from another member of our team. This ensures students are learning at high levels in all content areas every day. Thank you for trusting us with this process and partnering with us in the upcoming year. We can't wait for the first day of school on August 24!

School Assistance Program (SAP)

Pine Rest’s School Assistance Program (SAP) is a mental health support service designed to help students and families address emotional and wellness challenges. Through this program, students and their families receive confidential access to short-term counseling, free consultations (including legal, eldercare, financial, real estate, infant feeding), and referral services at no cost. Our hope is that by offering early intervention and connecting individuals with appropriate care, the SAP reduces barriers to mental health support, promotes resilience, and strengthens the partnership between schools, families, and mental health professionals. Call 800-442-0809 and press 1. Say "I have a SAP with Belmont Elementary".
