What if I want my student to use an RPS Chromebook instead of a device from home?

If you would like your student to borrow a Chromebook from RPS, please read the RPS Technology Plan.

What about a laptop? Do I need to provide one?

RPS high schools follow a 1:1 format where each student is expected to bring a device to school, fully charged.

 Also, please note the Student Device Management information regarding fees for damaged devices.

How do I know what time the bus comes, if I need it?

Busing information including bus number, bus stop location, and pick-up times will be available in Family Access.

Students will ride the listed bus to the Rockford Freshman Center, where they will get on bus #77, the RVA shuttle bus. The shuttle bus leaves RFC between 7:25 and 7:30 AM. Afterschool, the shuttle bus will pick students up at RVA at 2:18 and drop them at the RHS 10-12 building where they will catch the bus that takes them home.

The state budget that funds Michigan Meals has not yet been finalized.  For now, free breakfast and lunch will continue through September 30, 2025 and it is uncertain if that will continue past that date.

Starting October 1st those who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch will have to be charged if the budget is not approved.  

It is recommended that all families fill out the Meal Assistance application in the link below.
