International Thespian Society

Rockford High School

The Rockford Thespian Society, Troupe 8071, was re-established in 2021 to recognize and award students for their interest and their work in the world of theatre. Whether a student has an interest in acting, dance, stage crew, musical theatre, stand-up comedy, etc., there is a place for them in the International Thespian Society.

As Troupe Director, I hope that we can broaden a student’s interest in theatre arts, there truly isn’t a place like it. Our society will recognize students for their accomplishments and encourage them to pursue the arts outside of high school. My goal this year is to increase awareness and attend more trips that will allow students the freedom to express themselves and learn what makes them so extraordinary.

If your student is interested, Thespian Society admission costs $35.00, and this covers a student throughout their entire high school career. Some trips/festivals will cost a little extra (information will be out as soon as we obtain it). If you are experiencing financial hardship, please don’t let that be a hindrance to attending. We are definitely willing to work with you to allow your student these amazing opportunities.

Students who are interested, please fill out the attached Google Form and Mr. Leader will contact you soon about admission.
