Parent Only Information Night and Registration information for the 2025-26 school year will be posted here in December, 2024.  Please check back for updated information.  The information will also be available in the December, 2024, Rockford Community Services Brochure which is mailed to all Rockford & Belmont residents.

 

2024-25 Preschool Registration:

Full Day Preschool Enrichment registration is closed. 

 

Child Development Lab Preschool, Community Ed Preschool & Montessori registration – contact the office, 616.863.6560.  Spanish Preschool is currently full with a waiting list. All programs require a non-refundable deposit to be paid at the time of registration, when space available, and is applied to the total cost of tuition.

Note: If your child turns 5 on or before December 1, 2024, he/she is eligible to enroll in the Rockford Public Schools Developmental Kindergarten/Kindergarten program.  Information for that enrollment process is available on the district website: https://www.rockfordschools.org/enrollment-procedures/

Child Development Lab Preschool

This unique program recently earned their 5-star rating from the Great Start To Quality program!  This preschool is one of the highest rated preschool programs in the Rockford area!

The Lab preschool is located at Rockford High School and teaches preschoolers to become successful learners through cooperative experiences, problem solving and play, while training high school students enrolled in child development and life skills classes, to become potential educators.  Preschool children have many opportunities to learn independence, make decisions, develop creativity, and practice social and kindergarten readiness skills.  The activities are planned with care using the High Scope curriculum.  This quality approach to early childhood education has been developed through research and practice over 50 years in Ypsilanti, MI.

3 yr. old class Tues./Thurs. 9:00-11:30 am Cost: $1,000.00;  a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and is applied to the total cost of tuition

3 yr. old class Tues./Thurs. 12:30-3:00 pm Cost: $1,000.00;  a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and is applied to the total cost of tuition

Note: Children must be 3 by September 1 of the current school year.

Classes meet 2-1/2 hours each Tuesday and Thursday mornings and/or afternoons for the 3 year old classes.

 

4 yr. old class Mon./Wed./Fri. 9:00-11:30 am Cost: $1,500.00;  a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and is applied to the total cost of tuition – FULL

4 yr. old class Mon./Wed./Fri. 12:30-3:00 pm Cost: $1,500.00;  a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and is applied to the total cost of tuition

Note: Children must be 4 by September 1 of the current school year.

Our Community Education preschool has earned a 4-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan.  This program helps children develop the ability to work and play together in an enjoyable group setting that utilizes a developmentally appropriate kindergarten readiness curriculum.   Students are exposed to and practice social and cognitive skills with a focus on environmental topics.

This program is for children three and four years old, children must be 3 or 4 by September 1 of the current school year.  All of our staff are trained in early childhood, CPR and first aid.  Visit us on Facebook.

The Montessori program has earned a 4-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan.

This program introduces children to practical living skills, sensory education, language, math, science, cultural activities, art, music and movement.  Hands-on activities are designed to help children develop a sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence in this child-centered environment.  A mix of ages of three & four year olds is a key premise of the philosophy. Spanish Preschool

Both sessions for the Spanish Preschool are full for the 2024-25 school year.

NOTE: Enrollment in this program DOES NOT guarantee enrollment in the Rockford Public Schools Spanish Immersion program at Roguewood Elementary.  Enrollment placement for the district’s program is for Rockford residents and is by a lottery draw only.

 

This blended program for three and four year olds introduces the Spanish language through hands-on learning, preschool games, songs, read alouds and movement activities.  Each month focuses on a different theme such as colors, numbers, animals, etc.  Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1 of the current school year.  This program can be used in conjunction with the Full Day Preschool program, if space is available.  Please contact our office at 616.863.6560 for more information.  All of our staff are trained in CPR and first aid.  Visit us on Facebook.
