Our ECSE, Early Childhood Special Education, is a program that is funded by the Rockford Public Schools, and the state and federal governments. Each child is tested by the early childhood diagnostic team, and only those with a delay in one or more developmental areas qualify for programming. Once a child qualifies, goals and objectives are written based on test results and parental input. The child’s daily instruction focuses on specific goals and objectives, as well as age-appropriate and developmental skills.
The ECSE Program is located at Meadow Ridge Elementary School. Â For further program information please contact Mindy Duba, Executive Director of Special Services, at mduba@rockfordschools.org, or 616.863.6326.
