Before and After School Care Program (BAC) – DK-5th Grade
8.30.23 Update: Some schools continue to be on a waiting list. We will be re-evaluating our enrollment numbers after the Labor Day holiday. You will be contacted if we have openings and your completed paperwork has been submitted.
2023-24 Enrollment Forms are available above. Email completed forms to: JBrown@rockfordschools.org BAC Enrollment forms must be received by Friday, June 30th at 4pm in order to start BAC on the first day of school, if space available. Enrollment forms received after June 30th will be waitlisted. Due to limited staffing, some sites may be on a waitlist very soon after enrollment opens. Enrollment is first come, first served, based on availability at each BAC location. Once availability is determined, you will be contacted, which may be after the start of school. Enrollment/Re-enrollment forms are required to be updated annually per State of Michigan Licensing regulations. Returning students may not enroll if there is a previous or remaining balance on their Family Access account. Enrollments will not be processed between July 31 through August 21, 2023.
After the start of school, if space is confirmed by our office, enrollment in the program will take a minimum of one week to process before your child/children can attend BAC.

Calendars close at midnight on the 25th. As is our policy, a $25.00 late fee will be added to your account for schedules added after the 25th. The calendars re-open on the 1st. of each month.

The BAC Program provides quality care for RPS school-aged children in developmental kindergarten through fifth grade and is available every school day at all of our elementary schools. This program focuses on enhancing physical, intellectual, social and emotional development, with recognition of individual interests and talents and promotion of the school as a safe and stimulating place.
To help parents and children adjust quickly and happily to the program, and to prevent any misunderstandings, please carefully review program information. If you have questions, contact the Child Care Services office at 616.863.6560; office hours are generally Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with limited hours on no-school days and during the summer. 2023-24 Tuition Information:
Family Non-Refundable Enrollment Fee: $25.00 until 6.30.23 – $40.00 as of 7.1.23
There is no sibling discount.
Morning session: 7:00–8:30 am $8.00 per day per child
Afternoon session: 3:30–6:00 pm $15.00 per day per child
Early Release: $20.00 per day per child
Full Day BAC: $42.00 per day per child*
AM Delay of School Care: $11.00 per child
*Note: Full Day care is held at Parkside for holiday breaks, etc., Pre-registration is required.

Rockford Child Care Services bills and collects tuition on a pre-pay basis. A bill for services is generated in your Family Access account when your child’s calendar is entered. The bill must be paid in full by the 25th of the month for the services which are scheduled to occur in the following month. For example, if services are scheduled for the month of February, the entire bill must be paid in full by January 25th.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Non-Payment of tuition will result in dismissal from the program.
In the event of a dismissal, a dismissal notice will be sent via email and must be paid in full within seven days to remain in the program. If paid after the dismissal date, the child/ren will be subject to re-register, based on availability. A $40 re-enrollment fee will be assessed and tuition for the upcoming month will need to be paid in full in order to re-enter the program. If a dismissal email is issued more than twice in one school year, you will be asked to find child care elsewhere.
BAC Scheduling Policy
Minimum enrollment is one day (am or pm) per week, per child. We DO NOT offer drop in care. If your child/children do not sign up for the required minimum amount of days, they will be automatically un-enrolled. Re-enrollment will not be an option.
The BAC calendar will open each month from the 1st – 25th to enter your schedule or to make changes to an existing schedule. After the calendar lockout date of the 26th, your schedule cannot be removed and all charges will apply. We do not credit or swap for scheduled days that are cancelled.
If you do not set your schedule in between the 1st and 25th of each month, you will be charged a $25 fee for our staff to enter your schedule for you.
If you add an AM or PM for the current day or current week of care, a $5 Add-In Fee will be added to the daily standard AM or PM BAC charge. Otherwise, you may add days at no extra charge ONLY if called in by noon the Thursday before the next week’s scheduled days of care. DO NOT send add-in requests via email. All add-in requests must be called in by 3:00pm to the Child Care office.
If your child is sent to BAC without a schedule or without contacting the Child Care office, a $10 Unscheduled Add-In Fee will be added to the daily standard AM or PM BAC charge
Children may participate in games, arts and crafts, literacy, homework, and indoor/outdoor recreation time. A snack is provided after school each day.
